Professional Boundaries – 1.5 Days
26th July – 9:00 – 16:30 (Full-day)
& 9th August 9:00 – 12:30 (Half Day)
Attending both sessions of this workshop earns 9.5 CPDs
Safe Professional Boundaries require us to hold the line in every situation, calling on us to be present & creative in each circumstance. It is paramount for staff working in people-related industries to appreciate and understand the complexities of safe professional boundaries. We’ll explore various themes that help to deepen knowledge and skills in working safely, and with care. Psychodrama will be used to deepen the participants’ experiential learning.
Themes explored during this workshop include:
- Understanding the language and definitions used in professional boundaries
- Explore the professional boundary framework including over and under involvement and context
- Identify vulnerability hot spots for the professional that could lead to transgressions
- Explore the complex and nuanced reason for boundary transgressions
- Identify strategies to establish and maintain professional boundaries
